1. Does your motivation profile match your own understanding of why you play games? The Action, Social and Creativity fit pretty well. On the topic of creativity, whenever I get the chance to edit my character or base I feel as though it is a MUST to make it look nice. For Social, I definitely agree that I am a very competitive person. Most modern day games pit you against other players, be it PVP or who completes content the fastest. I find myself constantly trying to improve my own skills or improve my character to out run other players. I also enjoy games that are fast paced and require quick reflexes because the adrenaline rush and satisfaction of being able to keep up is what I look for in the majority of games I play. 2. Are there games that you enjoy which do not match your motivation profile? I'd say the games which I feel do not match my profile would be the RTS games that I enjoy playing such as Starcraft and Command & Conquer. Even though RTS games obviously requires Strategy, I think the motivation profile reflects this because these RTS games I play require you to think quickly about what to do next. Hence not as much strategy is involved but rather how fast you can adapt. 3. How many of your top 10 recommended games have you played? I have played about 4 out of the 10 recommended games. This is excluding phone games which I do not devote my time to. 4. Of those you have played, which have you enjoyed? Briefly explain why. Monster Hunter Series This is one of my all time favorite Action RPGs out there. The character customization provided allows me to edit my character however I want. There are many different monsters that vary in difficulty as the game progresses which requires players to constantly upgrade their character to combat the monsters and I find this extremely satisfying and interesting. 5. Of those you have played, which have you not enjoyed? Briefly explain why. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Even though I enjoy FPS games, I cannot bring myself to enjoy Black Ops 2, in fact I don't really enjoy the Call of Duty series. I find the gameplay very linear and repetitive. Weapons don't have much difference in their usage, one gun shoots very similarly to another. I also prefer games that allow a player to show off how good they are. In the CoD series, there are not many game mechanics which allow the player to show off just how much better they are than another player which I don't like.
