How it all started...
My cousin was the one who got me into gaming in the first place. I was probably around 4 years old when he introduced me to an old PC game called Little Fighters 2. I got hooked pretty quickly and the rest was history. I started picking up different games here and there as I grew older.
I mainly started gaming on consoles and hand-held devices but I eventually moved to PC gaming around 2010. My first online experiences were on the games Left 4 Dead and Halo 2; which got ported to PC. I started gaming very actively around 2012. This was when I fell in love with games that let me play with my friends because in my opinion, games are MUCH more fun when playing with friends.

Why I'm interested in games...
I eventually started using Steam as my main platform to play my games on. Valve games which are found on steam such as Left 4 Dead and Counter Strike have this feature in the games where you can open this thing called the Console. This allowed the user to type in different commands such as 'sv_cheats 1', 'give weapon_ak47' which would allow the user to temper with the game they otherwise would not be able to do with only the game menu. I would break the game in many hilarious ways or give myself powers I would not be able to get playing normally.
When I play with friends, we tend to edit or mod our games and this led to me tempering with game files directly in the file explorer. Examples would be Starbound and Terraria. I tempered with Starbound files to modify my weapons and tools, change spawn rates etc. In Terraria, I move files around to back up and save my characters and worlds because I have to edit or mod some characters or worlds.
I sometimes encounter some values or files in the game files which I do not understand. So I hope to learn that in the Game Modules that I will be taking. My friends and I also usually discuss how some game COULD have been better if this was done or if that was done. So I believe I also have some good ideas to implement into games or even come up with a new game idea as well.
